Full Hollow Farm a certified organic vegetable farm growing on 4 acres of land. We grow all different kinds of vegetables both in our fields and in our hoop houses (think unheated greenhouses) to provide food for our Summer & Winter CSA shares and to sell at Rockford and Fulton St. Farmers Markets. We care deeply about the health of the land on which we farm, the critters who call it home, and the community of people who support us and eat along with us.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic: We are offering customers the ability to place orders to be picked up at the Fulton St. Farmers Market on Saturdays from 10am-1pm. Pre-ordering produce allows us to pack your produce at the farm and bring it to market for you to pick up there.
Where can I find your produce?
We sell at the Rockford Farmers Market (May-Oct) and nearly year round at the Fulton St. Farmers Market in Grand Rapids. We also have a CSA program with pickup locations in Grand Rapids, Rockford, Lowell, and Belding. Click on the button below to learn more about becoming a CSA member of our farm.
What’s your farming background?
We, Jamie and Brad, love farming together. We love working towards a big beautiful goal like feeding over 140 families from June-February through our CSAs. We also love working toward a lot of tiny crucial goals like trellising the tomatoes on time. We love problem solving, thinking creatively, working closely with our team, spending our days outside, struggling through the hardships, and relishing in the bounty of it all.
What are you excited about for the coming season?
This spring we are putting up our fourth hoop house! Each year we expand our growing season a little bit and this next hoop house will continue us on that path, allowing us to expand our winter CSA and winter market days. We are also planning on building a new barn! We have been pushing our limits with our current infrastructure and we are super excited (and a little intimidated) by this next step. Jamie is always looking forward to eating that first tomato, growing beautiful orange bell peppers, and spotting lacewing eggs. Brad is always looking forward to cultivating crops with our tractors, eating loads of melons, and growing more carrots.
Why are you a member of the WMGG?
We are a member of the WMGG because we believe in its work. We have found a community with other small and sustainable farmers who understand on a deeper level the hardships and delights of this work. We enjoy visiting other members farms, sharing a meal, and working together to support sustainable agriculture.
