At Tortoise and Hare Farm, we believe in farming with the most ecologically friendly practices possible. Our primary focus is building soil health through compost and no-till methods, as well as supporting diversity of wildlife on our farm including native plants, pollinators, birds, and beneficial insects. Tortoise and Hare is a Certified Naturally Grown farm, meaning we practice organic growing methods. We grow a wide variety of vegetables without the use of synthetic fertilizers or pesticides to offer the best quality produce to our Muskegon and Grand Rapids communities.

Our CSA:

Our CSA lasts 18 weeks starting the first week of June. We have two options available; weekly and biweekly. Each week, CSA members will receive between 8-10 different vegetables. In addition to fresh, high quality veggies, we provide weekly newsletters with recipes, storage tips, pictures, and farm news.

Farm Card CSA:

We offer a market style CSA option for those who would like a more flexible experience. Simply choose the amount you’d like to put on your farm card and receive an additional 10% to spend on your favorite Tortoise & Hare vegetables at our farm stand or farmer markets throughout the season!
